Step 1: Assess your financial circumstances

Fortuity Lending will take the time to discuss your needs and circumstances with you. This gives us the opportunity to determine which type of home loan is most suitable. 

To make it easier for you, we will need you to provide documents to support your identity and financial situation. These documents will include a 100-point check list for identification, personal bank statements to demonstrate savings (if applicable), tax returns, payslips, outstanding loan statements, etc. Your Mortgage Broker will advise you of what you need for your particular situation. 

 

Step 2: Find a suitable loan for your situation

After assessing your objectives and financial needs, your Mortgage Broker will search their database containing hundreds of home loan products from many different lenders, including major banks, smaller banks, credit unions and other lenders. 

This database is constantly updated and has details of the latest deals from the Lenders. Also, your Mortgage Broker can have access to some exclusive home loan products which are not available elsewhere. 

Our sophisticated software can assist with this otherwise labour-intensive task and can compare over 30 Lenders and over a 1,000 home loan products to secure you a great interest rate. 

Following our extensive research, your Mortgage Broker will recommend a product or products which will best suit your needs. 

You may also be provided with a copy of the Lender’s comparison rates. Comparison rates include the interest rate, fees and charges relating to a home loan and enable you to identify the true cost of a loan. This "apples with apples" comparison will help you to compare home loan packages objectively.

 

Step 3: Manage the process

If you wish to proceed, your Mortgage Broker will assist you in completing the necessary paperwork and will liaise with the Lender on your behalf. This will include the completion and submission of your home loan application plus the ongoing communication between all parties until your home loan is approved and settled. 

 

Step 4: Post-settlement and ongoing client relationship

As part of your ongoing relationship with Fortuity Lending, you are entitled to receive a home loan health check in due course to ensure your home loan remains suitable for your situation and needs. After the ‘health check’ your Mortgage Broker can offer advice to assist you to reduce your repayments, unlock equity in your property, or consolidate additional debt. They can also assist with your refinancing needs should your objectives or financial circumstances change.
